WELCOME AND THANKYOU FOR VISITING!


This blog is more like my personal notepad - I'll post everything that I usually note in the notepad/OneNote. My notes are usually about IT - Programming Languages or Problem Solving - and I made it as a blog to make sure that my notes won't be missing if I change computers or laptops, or even my HDD/SSD got wiped somehow. And I hope by making it as a blog, I could help others. So don't hestitate to comment on a post if you think it helps you, or you want to ask more about it.

I also often post softwares - usually free softwares or open source - to make sure I have the link or the files whenever I need it again. Because, as you know, storing installers on a HDD will only eat your free space, and if the HDD went wrong, no one could help you restore everything at 100% state.

BUT, a blogger is still a human - means that we could unintentionally made a mistake!

How to Increase Apache Tomcat Heap Memory Size

Apache Tomcat commonly used to run web apps, commonly made by Java or Spring Boot. It's trusted and well known for it's realibility and easy to maintain. But ever wonder somehow you got Out of Memory Error from your web app? And how to deal with it? Disclaimer: Not all Out of Memory means that you need to increase your heap size. Please make sure that you didn't use too much explicit objects that could have memory leaks, or check wether your un-optimized code causes this. Increasing Heap Memory from your Java installation might not help much. Each instance have it's own limiter on using Heap Sizes. So does Apache Tomcat. But is it a bad news?
